Get a gnome
Every travel gnome and gnome keychain we make has an NFC tag built in, so any of them will do. Each one arrives as its own character with a name and a backstory.
Tap it with your phone
Hold an NFC capable phone to your gnome. Its page pops open, you log the spot you are standing in, done.
Watch the journey grow
Every stop lands on your gnome's map with the photos and notes you added. Months later you have a record of everywhere the two of you went.

Do I have to pay for the app?
No. The app is free on the App Store, on Google Play, and in a browser. The gnome is the only thing you buy.
Do I need the app for the gnome to be worth having?
It is a lovely gnome either way. But the app is where its journey lives, and that is the fun part.
What if my phone cannot do NFC?
Use the browser version at lastgnomelocation.com. You can still keep your gnome's profile, map and photos going.
Does every gnome work with it?
Yes. Every travel gnome and every gnome keychain we sell has a tag built in, including the paint your own and design your own keychains.
Can I follow a gnome I do not own?
Yes. Plenty of people follow a friend's gnome, or one they met at a market, just to see where it turns up next.
